Based on a request to demonstrate the fuel efficiency and excellent environmental performance of MINI Japan's diesel vehicles, we challenged the team to reach Lake Towada in Aomori from MINI headquarters in Tokyo with only one diesel tank. The entire journey was 683 km.
Motor journalist Tatsuya Kushima took a test drive for the entire process and captured the video of the process. The project was shot entirely in 4K, which was a huge step forward for Strategy SET. In Aomori, we also used DJI Ronin, a groundbreaking drone, to capture aerial shots and dynamic movements on a low budget. By using drones, we were able to produce authentic and sophisticated commercials while keeping costs low.
