For more than 30 years, Japan's video games have left an impressive record of melodies in the world of global pop culture, but the composers who created these universal songs have rarely taken the stage. This new documentary series from RBMA explores the history of video game music in Japan from the 8-bit era to the present, focusing on the composers who have created some of the greatest music in Japan around the world.
Throughout the six-episode series, the series will focus on the evolution of video game music, and will be performed by Hirokazu Tanaka, who worked on "Tetris" and "Metroid," Yuzo Ko, who created the soundtrack for "Bare Knuckles: Fury of the Iron Fist," influenced by Tokyo's club music culture in the early 90s, and many of the world's leading orchestras. Exclusive interviews with some of the leading composers in the video game music world, including Nobuo Uematsu, who composed the music for the "Final Fantasy" series, will be included. ”
