The massive earthquake of 22 February 2011 devastated the city of Christchurch. In order to develop an effective recovery plan that would be easily approved by the Australian government, the City Council decided to invite a wide range of citizens to participate in the planning.
That's why we came up with a concept to solicit ideas from everyone. First, we came up with a striking name, "Share an Idea," and gave it a bright, colorful brand identity. Based on this concept, we launched a website and created a bulletin board where people could post their ideas. The campaign was a huge hit, with more than 106,000 ideas in just six weeks.
