In 2017, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government through their tourism board, Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau, launched a campaign called Tokyo Tokyo, exploring the mix of traditional and cutting-edge culture in Tokyo, Japan.

Old Meets New Travelers in TOKYO
FOX's National Geographic based in Hong Kong was commissioned to produce a 5-part video series for the campaign, and after a bidding round, Strategy was selected as their production company on the ground in Tokyo. In this ambitious project, Strategy planned and executed a 10-day shoot encompassing more than 50 locations, an array of local talent, and a variety of unseen and unique experiences around Tokyo.
With our outstanding local knowledge and connections, we crafted a story around Tokyo's traditional and modern aspects, covering everything from cultural activities such as the famed tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and geisha entertainment to cutting-edge gastronomy cuisine, floating bonsai, and VR sports. The result was a stunning visual adventure capturing some of the best Tokyo has to offer, which screened on FOX's National Geographic channels internationally in Europe, North America, Australia, Asia and Africa.
