Avenue Health is a specialist medical and surgical facility located in Christchurch. The facility was founded by three core tenant companies, each specialising in a particular area and headed up by an established practitioner.
We were tasked with the development of the core Avenue Health identity, as well as the three brands within – KM Surgical, Dermatology Associates and Solais.
Our first task was to brand the building itself. Positioned on one of Christchurch’s busiest avenues, we created signage that was clean and professional looking – and importantly, could easily be seen from a distance. We also developed a humanist wayfinding system within the building that worked seamlessly with the interior design, which was modern, clinical and inviting.
We then created distinct identities for each of the three core tenants. The brands all needed to work together yet stand apart. We created synergy between the brands by leading each with a typographic wordmark, supported by clean and contemporary design systems. The result is a suite of aligned organisations, that all have a life of their own yet fit together under the same roof.
