Strategy was asked by EMPIRE’s Bruce Nachbar to create a launch video for BVLGARI’s recent collaboration with world-famous architect Tadao Ando.

Ando is known for his use of monolithic concrete shapes and dramatic shifts between light and shadow, so we knew we had to pay homage to this aesthetic when filming the ground breaking BVLGARI Octo Finissimo chronograph. The result: a modern, sleek film that creates a visual link between the architecture of Tadao Ando, the design of the Octo Finissimo, and Ando’s inspiration for his watch face design — the world’s first photograph of a black hole.
