2010 marked the 30th Anniversary of the Post-It in Japan, and 3M wanted to mark the occasion in a special way.
okyoDex with creative agency B2 Engine and show and directed by Strategy, we created a stop-motion film using tens of thousands of post-its to explore and activate the newly opened “The Soho” office building in Odaiba.
We spent four full days making post-it art on site, and finished the film at an opening party where guests were asked to place Post-Its on large hanging panels to complete the catch phrase “Fun to Stick.” The party was also the exhibition site for ten artists hand-picked by TokyoDex to show original artwork made using special donut-shaped Scotch Tape dispensers.
