May 2013. The Christchurch Art Gallery celebrated its 10th anniversary, and art floods sparked across the city. The outdoor exhibition, titled Populate!, featured large-scale murals, nighttime projections, and sculptures.
Public Relations Magazine No. 172 was the center of this exhibition, which brings together new works of art from a wide range of genres. And with the power of this publicity magazine, the gallery has managed to stylishly promote and celebrate its birthday. The challenge was to bring together such a diverse range of artists and their work into a single book, and to make something impressive as a publication that tends to be just a program. Therefore, we placed a sidebar with basic information in each article, and created a mechanism that links to the table of contents at the beginning. The entire publicity magazine, including the wrapping, cover, and text inside, was decorated with gold to attract readers and give the commemorative issue a worthy glamour.
