Prime Minister's Office of Japan

Side by Side: Africa Inspires New Opportunities In Japan

As part of a general marketing campaign that is not specific to tourism or investment purposes, the Japan Cabinet Office continues to try to educate the world about the global outreach efforts of Japan and Japan.

In particular, we focus on introducing examples of individuals building friendships by bridging the gap between countries around the world and Japan. STRATEGY SET was commissioned to work with CNN Create to create a short documentary about two cases in Africa. The first example is the story of Hirofumi Kurino of United Arrows, who creates sustainable fabrics with local people at his atelier in Burkina Faso and incorporates them into his designs. Another example is the story of Mami Rudasingwa, a Japan woman living in Rwanda who is passionate about bringing prosthetics and orthotics to those in need.

Although it was not used in the main story, you can see the beautiful natural scenery of the safari filmed as a second roll here.
