Engineer Takayuki Nakamura is taking on the challenge of this unprecedented situation with cutting-edge robot technology. He is an up-and-coming engineer as well as a person who embodies the balance of the five dans of kendo, and has developed a state-of-the-art exploration robot "Scorpion" inspired by the movements of kendo. Inside the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, which is so radioactive that it is impossible for humans to enter, cutting-edge robotic technology is attracting attention to remove the remaining fuel and debris.
